Another view of the Origin machine room. The control workstation for
the SP frame is on the right. Under the table on the left is an SGI O2.
This O2 is used as a console server for the Origin Lab compute systems
and other Origin servers in the building.

The black cable going between the alpha servers is the Memory Channel
cable. Since there are only two machines here, no memory channel hub or
switch is necessary.

This picture is from our largest machine room. It shows our IBM SP.
As of this writing, there are a total of 224 processors. Soon, there
will be an upgrade performed and we will have 388 processors. The
upgrade will take place in existing frames so no additional racks will
be necessary. We will be getting a newer tape system and more disk
space and that will require new racks and equipment.
