This shows one side of our networking equipment in our small, graphics
lab server room. This is a Cisco Catalyst 5505. It has an ATM module
to connect to the campus backbone, a few 10/100 megabit ethernet blades,
and a 3-port and a 9-port gigabit ethernet blade. The Origin200 Lab
systems all have gigabit ethernet interfaces.
This shows the patch panel. Network connections for everything we manage
in the building end up here except for the IBM SP, which has its own
network, and offices in a far away part of the building.
