We recently moved our Origin systems in to a different machine room. This room has been a machine room for a long time but we were recently given access to the space. Here we are entering the Origin machine room. Note that there are steps there - there are double doors on the other side of the room that does not have stairs. So it is possible to get machines in there :-)

The four racks on the right side make up our 62-processor Origin2000 System with R12000 processors. The two racks on the left, that look slightly different, make up the older 8-processor and 24-processor systems. These two systems have R10000 processors.

We recently aquired these two Alpha ES40 servers. The two servers are linked together with a Memory Channel interconnect. We are currently evaluating this system. They are extremely fast!

This photo is from a smaller server room. On the left, you see two RAID units. Two the right, you see two purple boxes. This is a 2-processor Origin200 Gigachannel. It is the primary file server for one of our graphics labs. To the right, you see a disk farm for this server. :-)

This is another view of the Origin2000 machine room (from earlier in this gallery). You can see this room has one IBM SP frame. It contains 4 4-processor Silver Nodes with PowerPC processors.
